In the framework of implementing Presidential Regulation Number 58 of 2017 concerning the Acceleration of the Implementation of National Strategic Project (PSN), especially industrial estate development projects, the Ministry of Industry held a seminar in the framework of Monitoring and Evaluation of 24 Industrial Estates in the National Strategic Project on Friday (25/10) in Sentul. The event aims to identify the challenges and obstacles faced in the development of industrial estates as well as input to the government in its completion.
PT Prima Pembangunan Kawasan as the developer of Kuala Tanjung Industrial Estate participated in the seminar and discussed the progress and problems that occurred. Kuala Tanjung Industrial Estate as one of the National Strategic Project (PSN) also has several obstacles and challenges including such as the completion and synchronization of spatial planning, land acquisition and certification, provision and construction of infrastructure inside the area, provision and development of infrastructure outside the region and the formation of investment management and promotion agency for prospective tenants.
Regional policies related to the upstream and downstream industrial sectors to develop industrial estates and government facilitation are urgently needed in the development of the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Estate. With the realization of the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Estate, this will spur economic growth outside the island of Java as the vision and mission of the Government through the Ministry of Industry.
