Medan, Tuesday, June 4, 2024 – SPSL Group held the Refreshment KMAP Batch 4 event last Monday, June 3, 2024, at the Grha Pelindo Building, Selat Malaka Room, 7A floor. The event was attended by representatives from SPSL Group subsidiaries located in Medan or Regional 1, namely PT Prima Pengembangan Kawasan, PT Prima Indonesia Logistik, and PT Prima Multi Peralatan.
This one-day event is a continuation of the Knowledge Map Roadmap program, which is currently in the Knowledge Map Update phase. The event was led by Mr. Alvin Soleh, a consultant from KMPlus Consulting. Participants were refreshed on KMAP material and tasked with updating and completing the Knowledge Map in their respective Divisions. As an output of this activity, participants were also asked to create Knowledge Documentation for each updated and complete Strategic Knowledge Map.
Alvin Soleh told the participants, “The goal of Knowledge Management is to create added value and enhance the company’s competitiveness through effective knowledge management, to improve company performance and productivity, and to develop beneficial and sustainable innovations.”
There are three levels of Knowledge: Basic Knowledge, Advanced Knowledge, and Innovative Knowledge. Basic Knowledge serves as a prerequisite for performing a job well (without making mistakes). Advanced Knowledge is gained from experience, adding value to work outcomes. Innovative Knowledge results from the combination of experience and continuous learning, making a difference and creating significant added value.
“The Knowledge Map (KM) identifies the knowledge needed to perform work effectively and create added value. It is hoped that participants can implement KM in their daily work, motivate their team and colleagues to utilize KM, and collaborate in leveraging KM in their work,” explained Alvin Soleh.
When asked separately, the President Director of PT Prima Pengembangan Kawasan (PT PPK) said, “Management fully supports the participation of PT PPK employees in the Refreshment KMAP Batch 4 event. It is hoped that all employees can apply KM in their daily activities to achieve work effectiveness and efficiency, increase productivity and performance, and foster beneficial innovations so that the Company can remain competitive and continue to be at the forefront amid global competition.”
The Refreshment KMAP Batch 4 event concluded after the participants created and presented Knowledge Documentation for each Strategic Knowledge Map according to the templates provided by the Committee, followed by a group photo session.
