Medan, 03 August 2023 _ The National Strategic Project (PSN) continues to carry out infrastructure development on an ongoing basis by the Government to support the economic equity program and accelerate infrastructure development. Now, this Government priority program has entered the age of eight years since it was first established.
PT Prima Pembangunan Kawasan (PPK) as a subsidiary of PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik (SPSL) also supports the government’s program to accelerate infrastructure development by participating in the National Strategic Project (PSN) “Sewindu” Event which was held in Jakarta, 26-27 July 2023 ago.
The Coordinating Minister for the Economy, Airlangga Hartarto said that the PSN, including the Special Economic Zones (KEK), is an effort to transform the economy. The existence of infrastructure built through PSN is also essential for Indonesia to be able to escape from the middle-income trap.
“We know that in 2035 Indonesia has the potential to escape the middle-class trap. This middle-class trap can only be overcome if we have a productive society. Because of the demographic bonus, we live 13 years. Not all countries pass the middle-income trap. The key, of course, is infrastructure, both land, air, and sea. Indonesia needs healthy and intelligent human resources. Ready to compete with changes in artificial intelligence. So that is the most important thing,” said the Coordinating Minister for Airlangga.
The “Sewindu” National Strategic Project (PSN) is a series of events held from April to October 2023 by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs. This event aims to promote the achievements and impacts resulting from the development of PSN. In addition, this event aims to educate participants about the importance of PSN and the various stakeholders involved in it and highlight investment opportunities in Indonesia.
Commercial Manager of PT PPK, Said Joeanna, who was PT PPK’s representative in the Sewindu PSN activities, stated that PT PPK is committed to always carrying out the task of developing the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Zone (KIKT) as one of PSN’s programs. “PT PPK as part of the Pelindo Group has experienced an increase in KIKT development activities starting from the preparation of permits to land acquisition which has been carried out from 2017 to the present as well as the construction of basic infrastructure which will begin construction in the fourth quarter of 2023. PT PPK is also intensively to continue marketing KIKT services” Said Said (02/08).
