Medan, 11 July 2023 – PT Prima Kawasan Development (PT PPK) as a subsidiary of PT Pelindo Solusi Logistics (SPSL) has never been tired in promoting the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area. This can be seen by actively attending promotional activities where potential investors gather. One of them was during the visit of the Indonesia-Malaysia-Thailand Growth Triangle (IMT-GT) group at the PT Prima Multi Terminal Office in Kuala Tanjung some time ago.
IMT-GT is a collaboration consisting of 3 countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand which was established at the 1st Ministerial Meeting (PTM) in Langkawi, Malaysia, on 20 July 1993. IMT-GT is aimed at increasing the welfare and economic growth of the people in the region the borders of the IMT-GT countries. The Indonesian territories that are part of the IMT-GT collaboration are the provinces: Aceh, Bangka-Belitung, Bengkulu, Jambi, Lampung, South Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.
PT PPK through Said Joeanna, Commercial Manager, explained to the IMT-GT group that the Company had just completed the land acquisition process for the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area. It is hoped that in 2023 the basic infrastructure development process in the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Estate can begin so that the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Estate can begin to be looked at by potential tenant candidates.
On this occasion, the advantages of the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area were also conveyed, including access to the Medan-Kuala Tanjung toll road, close to the Sei Mangke Special Economic Zone, an aluminum processing industry owned by PT Inalum, hinterland in the form of large oil palm plantations and especially the distance between the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area and the Kuala Tanjung Port is very close, only less than 2 kilometers so that it can minimize the cost of transportation to and from the Kuala Tanjung Port.
On a separate occasion, Mr. Jansen Sitohang, Main Director of PT PPK, said “It is hoped that the IMT-GT visit to Kuala Tanjung can become a promotional medium for entrepreneurs/investors, especially from 3 IMT-GT member countries to invest in the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area. considering that the potential and advantages of this Industrial Estate are very rarely owned by other Industrial Estates in Indonesia with the advantage of being close to the Port and the carrying capacity of the hinterland which is quite large.
