Medan, December 27, 2023 _ In the framework of the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area Project (KIKT) development, which has been designated as a National Strategic Project (PSN) based on Presidential Regulation Number 81 of 2018 concerning the Acceleration of Development and Operation of Ports and KIKT in North Sumatra Province, PT Prima Area Development (PPK), a subsidiary of PT Pelindo Logistics Solutions (SPSL), initially conducted land acquisition through land release stages in Kuala Tanjung Village, Batubara District, North Sumatra.
Generally, the land release for the KIKT development proceeded smoothly. There were only 9 plots out of 354, or about 2.7 hectares from the total 43.5 hectares, that had to be executed. The initial execution phase was carried out for 3 plots of land on December 20.
The Kisaran District Court assigned the Court Bailiff of Kisaran, Mursal Pahri, S.H., and the team for the execution. “Today’s execution for the 3 plots of land has been carried out, although there were challenges with the terrain being too soft for heavy machinery, but eventually, it was successfully completed. There are still a few more plots of land to be executed, and we hope that they can be carried out smoothly and safely,” said the Bailiff when asked for comments on the execution.
One of the landowners, identified by the initial “I,” who was also affected by the land acquisition, previously expressed satisfaction with the compensation received, “I am happy that my land is included in the required location. I feel that the compensation given is beneficial for us, as with that money I can buy a replacement house and other assets, and it also serves as the capital to expand my business,” he said (20/12).
“The decision of the Kisaran District Court is legally binding. All parties should respect this decision so that the development of the Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area can proceed smoothly and will be a source of pride for the local community because this area can increase regional income, which will also impact the welfare of the community,” said Jansen Sitohang, CEO of PT PPK (27/12).
The execution was carried out by the Kisaran District Court, with security assistance from the Batubara Police Resort and was attended directly by representatives from PT Indonesian Ports (Persero), PT Prima Area Development, local government officials of Kuala Tanjung Village, and other related parties. Previously, in this consignment process, Compensation Money (UGR) was deposited at the Kisaran District Court by PT PPK for the landowners who refused payment. Of the 13 consigned plots of land, 4 landowners eventually decided to collect the money deposited at the Kisaran District Court.
