Medan, Monday, July 29, 2024 – PT Prima Pengembangan Kawasan (PT PPK) as a subsidiary of PT Pelindo Solusi Logistik which is part of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) (Pelindo Group) participated in the site visit activities carried out by the North Sumatera Invest (NSI) Team in North Sumatera Province. NSI is a cooperation forum between the North Sumatera (Sumut) Provincial Government (Pemprov) and the Bank Indonesia Representative Office (KPw) to increase investment in North Sumatera through investment and trade promotion activities in order to improve the economy of North Sumatera.
The NSI Team was attended by the Regional Secretary of North Sumatera Province Arief S Trinugroho, Assistant for Development and Economy of North Sumatera Province Agus Tripiyono, Head of Bank Indonesia Representative Office of North Sumatera Province IGP Wira Kusuma, Head of the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Office (DPMPTSP) Faisal Arif Nasution, Head of Bappelitbang of North Sumatera Province Alfi Syahriza and Deputy Chairperson of the North Sumatera Chamber of Commerce and Industry Isfan F Fachruddin, along with the Head of Pw Bank Indonesia from Bengkulu, Lampung, Aceh, and Sibolga. The representatives of the Consultant General (Consul General) who were invited came from the Consulate General in Medan such as the Indonesian Consulate General in Penang, the Singapore Consulate General, the USA Consulate General, the Japanese Consulate General, the Malaysian Consulate General and the Chinese Consulate, the Honorary Consulate of the Netherlands, the Honorary Consulate of Germany, the Honorary Consulate of Thailand.
“The NSI Investment Challenge 2024 which was launched last February was attended by 33 Regencies/Cities, successfully capturing 20 investment opportunities in 16 Regencies/Cities,” said Faisal Arif Nasution when opening the NSI Team Site Visit at the Pematang Siantar Mayor’s Office some time ago.
Faisal said the investment target in North Sumatra in 2024 was IDR 58 trillion. In 2023, investment realization in North Sumatra will reach IDR 50 trillion. “This is a big target in 2024, so we continue to consolidate to be able to realize investment in North Sumatra, both through foreign investment (PMA) and domestic investment (PMDN),” said Faisal.
H.B. Sumartin, Vice President of Commercial PT Prima Pengembangan Kawasan, representing the President Director, Mr. Akhirman, in the forum, said that this investment promotion activity is very beneficial for the Company. “The Kuala Tanjung Industrial Area is a new Industrial Area that has many added values, including a location that is already connected to the Railway, close to the toll road, a large palm oil plantation hinterland, and especially close to the Kuala Tanjung Port,” said the man who is usually called Martin.
The hope was also conveyed to the NSI Team to be able to carry out this investment promotion agenda periodically and continuously so that the national strategic projects set by the Government receive attention and interest from investors, especially Investors from Abroad.
